Diseases of the bowel in two thirds of the worlds population are rare.

The only thing they do differently, from us westerners, is they squat when they answer the call of nature. In India, China, Africa and Japan the majority of population squat to eliminate. These cultures have a wide range of diet. The problem of diseases of the bowel are not to do with what we eat, but to do with what is NOT eliminated.

So what happens in the body when you squat?

When we use the "sitting on the chair" posture to eliminate, a small percentage of feces is left behind. However, when we squat ( children do this naturally ) several natural processes start. First the closing of Iliocecal valve ensures no washback. Second the puborectalis sling releases the "kink" in the ractum. Third, the squat posture creates the correct and natural abdominal pressure. The result: 100 percent of feces are eliminated.  NO fecal matter left behind to continue to produce harmful bacteria and resulting diseases.

Seven Advantages

1.

Makes elimination faster, easier and more complete. This helps prevent "fecal stagnation," a prime factor in colon cancerappendicitis and inflammatory bowel disease.

2.

Protects the nerves that control the prostate, bladder, and uterus from becoming stretched and damaged.

3.

Securely seals the ileocecal valve, between the colon and the small intestine. In the conventional sitting position, this valve is unsupported and often leaks during evacuation, contaminating the small intestine.

4.

Relaxes the puborectalis muscle which normally chokes the rectum in order to maintain continence.

5.

Uses the thighs to support the colon and prevent straining. Chronic straining on the toilet can cause hernias, diverticulosis, and pelvic organ prolapse.

6.

A highly effective, non-invasive treatment for hemorrhoids, as shown by published clinical research.

7.

For pregnant women, squatting avoids pressure on the uterus when using the toilet. Daily squatting helps prepare the mother-to-be for a more natural delivery.

Here is one answer.....a platform to temporarily convert existing toilet to allow squat-to-eliminate !
